Corvid 19 - Update 28th May 2020

It’s official! Swanswater Fishery will reopen on  Friday 29 May and the fish are all looking forward to welcoming you back.
A few restrictions have been put in place so please read and observe the following.
There will be two sessions, 8.00-2.30 and 5.00-9.30
ALL FISHING MUST BE BOOKED in advance. Permits can be prepaid over the phone, although card and cash payments will be accepted.
Permits will be issued from Reception - only one angler will be allowed in at a time. Queuing system has been set up.  Apart from issuing permits, Reception is closed although the toilets are open.

There will be no movement between ponds.  Swanswater is open for fly fishing. The Millpond is open for bait and fly fishing - no catch and release.

There have been a few changes to our restrictions - the Meadow Pond is now open for fly fishing; we are now allowing 2 anglers per boat (from the same household); and 1 adult and child under 12 can share a rod on any of the ponds.
Please do not arrive at the Fishery more than 15 minutes before your start time, tackle up quickly either at your car or on your first platform. When you finish fishing, please tackle down, weigh in fish and leave as quickly as you can.
Please do not travel to the Fishery with people from outside your household, and please maintain a 2m distance from other anglers and staff members at all times. Hand washing and hand sanitising facilities are available - please use these.
We have temporarily removed the boxes from all the platforms. Please either take your litter home with you or use the black bins situated around the ponds. Please take particular care not to leave nylon and cigarette butts lying around.
Always follow the current Government guidelines on health, travel and social distancing.

Opening Times are -

      8.00am to 2:30 and  5:00pm to 9:30
(see above)
